This game needs help... badly

Game: Hyperiums, the Massive Galactic Wargame

This game is of substandard quality. Just to get into the free version to try you are put in a que of over 3000 people waiting to try the game before you have to pay for it.

If you choose to pay before trying the game out you will learn that unlike their claim of instant access you will have to wait awhile still for your account to be activated into the pay game.

At the point you enter the paying game you will find that it is nearly impossible to be able to build up your empire. the game is dominated by a few large alliances which dominate everyone else. If you choose not to join one of these alliances you will be crushed immediately. After loosing your first planet you will have to wait 4 days before you can play the game again. All you can do for those 4 days is post in the forums. If you loose your second planet the delay becomes even longer.

The game also has several limits introduced to not allow players to be able to expand in the game. In the pay game you are also limited to 12 planets of thousands. Hardly a game which allows you to make a empire as they claim. You are just allowed your small chunk of a small part of the world. After you have achieved this goal of 12 planets there is nothing to do for the rest of the game. Seeing as they make you buy time in chunks of 12 months at a time this is a extreme waste of your money.

This game also only has resource ticks every 8 hours. In the turn-based online games such slow activity is sub-par for any game especially a game which charges you to play.

In summary this game is extremely lacking in content. As a new player it is extremely hard to build up and if you succeed far enough into the game to start taking out other players you will find you have reached the end of the game in a week at the most. this game is filled with newb bashers and the only way to avoid these players is to excersice the planet protection that they offer you but to choose this option makes growing your empire extremely slow. The game is updated extremely slowly. In 8 months between times i played there was almost no change in the game except for a slightly different user interface which was no better then the one before.

I do NOT recommend this game, AT ALL!!! (PS: the pay version is not worth it)
