Toadwater

This is an update to my original post as Toadwater has really gone downhill and is basically dead. If you want to play the game for a bit of fun (6 months max), then okay, but if you want to rank, skip it. Toadwater has been taken over by a bunch of turkeys that are too lazy to play and just write macros and use multiple clients. They also like to screw up other players because they are bored shitless and basically too lazy to play. Also, development on this game has stopped, so once you get over level 100, is becomes really boring again as all you do is plant trees, chop, plant trees, chop, repeat ad nauseum. And I really loved the "mature players" line as most are lucky to be older than 18, so the boards are full of infantile rubbish. P.S. Just about all the reviewers are macorers who real joy is in pissing off other player. Really a shame as it was a nice game that had potential. firstly a warning ................ Boring as bat shit is the first thing that comes to mind, but bat shit is interesting when you learn a little bit about it. Toadwater is totally boring, at first. You sit on your arse and plant trees, watch them grow, chop them down, make stuff, sell it, plant more trees. If you can get through this really boring first part, you can then start to move around. About which time you start to die, and get to start all over again. Depressing really. However, if you make it through the intial stages, the game gets better and better and better. It can grow on you after a while. Read the manual and use the glossary and don't be afraid to ask on the Toadwater BBS for assistance. If you have the time, you can easily make the Top 50 players as the number of active players on Toadwater is currently small. Making the Top 40 is doubly hard. Making the Top 30 is double that again and so on. The game is fun and has challenges.
