To an old salt of MMORPGs Aegis is rather refreshing. A well thought-out war game in escence but due to low turn rate, one an hour, polotics become a major role.

At the beggining of the game you start out as a mere landlord overseeing some 250 acres. These you allocate to produce food, textiles, stone and wood. Along with a multitude of other buildings to give special benifits, collect taxes or train your army. Manage your resources wisly and grow prosperous.

Finding yourself semi prosperous you might decide that some walls and soldiers to protect your work would be in good order. For the first time Aegis player here I suggest that you look upon the Empire Forum and find a king to swear alliegence to. Or you can crown yourself king and let up to 25 vassels swear alliegence to you instead.

Help them grow, aid them in their defence and jointly take on a tough foe. Be forwarned though there are other kingdoms within the realm of Aegis. Alliances are forged and treaties signed. Will you be the one to rule over them all and proclaim yourself Emperour?

Perhaps at the some point you decide you just want to peacfully build your kingdom rellying upon your walls and your king for defence. In Aegis there is more then one way to advance and I am yet to even scratch at the games potential. Perhaps it is the game for you all I know is that it is a game for me. And that is the highest endorcment I can give any game.
