I started playing this game in January this year and since I started playing I have gotten so wrapped up in it I can't describe it. But I'll give it a try.
Its not your typical run of the mill text based war game. The politics in game are so in depth that you must participate in them. Every player (province) can have an influence on the game whether it be the strongest or a smaller one fighting to survive.
Once in-game there are kingdoms in which players join, whether it be for protection or just because you have similar tastes as the other players in it.
In this game politics is not the only way to go, you may decide you want to be a war like province, in which case you can join a mercenary kingdom, or you can do a kamikaze and try go it alone as an independent.
The great thing about this game is that it is totally free. You are not obliged to pay anything but if you do donate there are extra features added eg. new attacks, more trade caravans etc.
Another great thing is that the game is being constantly monitored and updated by the dedicated programmers at MEK.
In the game there are an elite hierarchy called eldars. They have no special powers but they are responsible for keeping the forums in order and issuing medals to players who truly deserve them.
The people who play this game are very helpful and try their best to get new players used to how the game works and help build them up. They are also very approachable and there are a lot of out-game forums and chat going on.
The game has a balance between
Economic: Managing your province income of gold and resources.
Political: Forging alliances and peace treaties between kingdoms.
Conquest: Using your military might to extend your lands or enslave other players peasants.
Espionage/ sabotage: Whether it be to use agents to defend or to use spies to try assassinate or sabotage enemies plans.
Morale: You must learn to balance the morale increase by the amount your morale will drop turn by turn. 361
However there are still a few bugs in the game but as I mentioned earlier there is a dedicated team to try sort out these problems.
All in all as the title says I think it is the best online game ever.
One more thing. Let cheaters beware, we have a very honest society and if anyone finds and knowingly takes advantage of a bug, you will be reported.
