I've been playing GF for a few months and its both a fun and challenging game. You can run an empire or take on one of the less challenging roles within your faction, but all of those roles are necessary. Chat is an interesting experience but one that enables you to meet the more experienced players and get whatever help you need to get up and running within the game. i highly recomend it.
