Firstly I'd like to say, that I am not going to sit here and tell you how great runescape is, how you should go ahead and start playing it and that it is the best game in the world.
Runescape does have it's unique charm. But, it has everything a normal MMORG has as well. The graphics are a little bit dodgy, but most people feel they can over-come that by the good game-play.
The matter of fact, after you've reached the top level runescape loses its touch. Now what is there to do? You've clocked the game and all you can do is walk around acting strong.
Now, runescape is a great way to make friends. And, it's totally 100% free.
It's a good game to play, but not hours on end. I've played for 2 years. The addiction had gotten to me, but I stopped playing a while back. To tell you the truth, runescape gets boring. You can't hide that fact.
But, it is fun. It is fun for the first few weeks, and if you're lookin for an easy game to get addicted to, and a little bit of fun - go for it!
But bear in mind there ARE other role-playing games out there. And runescape isn't exactly the top one there.
