Those who like it, like it a lot.

Imperia Online is not a game for everyone, but those who like it, love it. First of all, the game originates in Bulgaria, and the English version does have a few grammatical/spelling errors, but this is easily overlooked in favour of the quality of the game. This is not a hack and slash first person dungeon crawling adventure. It is a strategy game, not an action game. Those who enjoy strategic gaming will enjoy it very much once they get used to it. If you don't like strategy gaming and prefer lots of flashing pictures and loud noises, then why are you writing a review of Imperia? It helps to have an alliance, having more experienced players guide you along is an incredible asset (although alliances cost a portion of your resources). Basically, it's a game of resource gathering, empire construction, and massive battles (that occur on paper, not in pictures). If you have a stout heart, keen intellect, and long for bygone days, you could very well find yourself at the top of a new realm... Oh, and READ THE MANUAL (at least the short one)
