Whatever you do, don't spend a dime on runes for this game. The game play itself is fine, and any player of Civ type games will appreciate the kingdom/province building, but the combat is so out of whack it's impossible to defend your Kingdom against anyone who decides they'd like to crucify you. The ability of attackers to employ an endless number of mercinaries and the odd ability to attack dozens of times per turn, make the advantage given to an attacker devastating.
On other words, you can spend tens of dollars on runes to get Kingdom bonuses, you can spend months upon months building what you imagine is a strong Kingdom, and virtually anyone with a bit of cash can simply demolish you.
Great concept, addictive gameplay, but an absolutely horrendous combat system, which for anyone that even dreams of building peacefully, completely ruins the game.
