Breath taking!

With risk to be confrontational, I must ask this: Have we played the same game with Gandalf?!? I really think that we have not. I am playing Imperia Online since the beginning of the Beta, and I can safely say I know the nuts and bolts of it. Imperia Online is very sophisticated and is using a real time engine that is not very common in web based games. It can compete with any one of the best examples of real time web based games, such as Travian. Imperia Online had a 5 month long beta test, during which the balance was tweaked to a point that is rather impressive. There are no dominating units, there are no dominating strategies, basically it really depends on your decision whether a battle will be won or lost. The battle calculator is very deep as well, it takes into account all the units different strengths: charge, flank attacks, range attacks and last but not least the morale of the army – if the army runs out it due to heavy losses and exhaustion – it will run away… Truly realistic experience and rewarding one as well, especially when you annihilate the enemy cavalry with your spearmen!
And one last thing – Imperia Online has been growing like there is no tomorrow, the game launched the official version on 23rd of January, and less than 2 weeks later, they had to start a second Realm, because the first one got too full!!!

I strongly recommend this game to anyone who likes realistic medieval strategies that do not involve magic and etc.
