This is an incredible game!
Game: Aegis
Alright let me start off with saying that the reason this game doesn't get the 5th star is because some people don't flow with the spirit of it, and whine and complain when you do something that is part of the game. In Aegis you start a province on one of the three continents (servers). As you guide this province and it's scurrying inhabitants you can choose to either form your own Kingdom, or join an existing one. You also get to choose a Path (later in the game, once you're wealthy enough) which will give your province certain bonuses and abilities which you can use later. But this game isn't just about Killing and Death (though it's a very healthy and vibrant way of life for some). You can play the political scene as well, forging alliances, breaking up the alliances of others through well placed words. There's plenty of room for behind the scenes action. But don't worry, there are plenty of tactics for Killing and Death, you can hire a Mercenary Kingdom to assist you in that. Or you can have friends do it. Or you can take out the Key members of the Kingdom first and watch the others scatter. Wars in Aegis rarely last long, usually he who strikes first strikes last. Some people cry out if you do not play "nicely", some cry out right back at them to be silent and accept it. In Aegis, the other players are the Police, Lawyers, Judges, and Executioners. If you want to get a lot of respect, stick to every promise you make. But being solely a warmonger will get you many, many enemies. It helps to have a skilled diplomat in the Kingdom. If you can write skillfully, it will prove to be a great asset in the game. And while you can donate to the game, it is not a "pay to play" kind of game where you get uber weapon availability if you donate X number of euros. You WILL get some perks, but nothing that's drastically balance disrupting. So even someone who doesn't donate can build a province to rival all others in the Aegean world. Be ye warrior, minstrel, scribe, or rogue; You'll fit right in, in Aegis. Wear ye armor, or drabs, or Silken robes; You'll fit right in, in Aegis. Kill ye Kings or servants, or no one at all; Your future is bright in Aegis. Speak ye well, or poorly, or not at all; There's a path to victory in Aegis. Join us here in Blood and Song, Follow now the seething throng, Enter mortal, if you dare, make THIS The day you join Aegis! ---Caeluth Caelum, Overseer of the Elardian Empire
