GooGrid is an excellent ecosystem game that lets you fully design your own critters and then send them out into a world full of other user's critters. They compete for resources in the GooGrid world and for other users attetion on the 'most popular' lists. You can also animate the critters in dozens of ways or choose from many preset critter designs. The game's major drawback thus far is that not enough people use it, meaning that the ecosystem changes rapidly from one day to the next depending on who is playing at that time. With more people, it will become more stable and the best or most popular critters will prevail.
