Almost Great

(4/5) Reviewed by User: RocMat1 on Sun Sep 05 2004
This a very intresting game with many things to do, and many goals to have. The only problem is the high initial learning curve of about an hour or two so you can understand what the game has to offer. There usually is an Auxilli at the begging of the game to help you out with all your questions, but always there is at least a bot there. Money is very hard to get for a newcomer, and the best way to get money is to become apart of an army, for when you attack someone you get all the loot of others which will finnaly add up. The bottom panel is not as hard to understand as some thing, and you don't use that much, exept for moving. The circles that are light green are usually the only places you can go, click one, and youll move in that direction. If an Auxilli is not there at the begging of the game, type: Think Auxilli Then usually someone will say something like what do you want or something to that effect. What you are doing when you type think (text), is talking to all people in the game that have think toggled on. So just type think (text) to tell them where you are and stuff. Right now you are at phadero's bench, where all newbs start. Now if you cant find an auxilli, just find someone and whisper to them you need help type whisper (name of person) (text) . They will usually help you out. Never talk OOC, only whisper it. Also make sure to look at the guide provided by the site. Good luck.

A bit involved...

This is a text based game, the game evolves from building a character, the character building gets somewhat more personal than adding certain points to a skill such as sword wielding etc..
you get to choose what colour eyes you have and chin, build, hair type and more.
the game evolves as you meet certain characters which happens pretty much straight away as you encounter
a Bot, you can ask the bot questions ranging from animals to money and the likes, I believe this is so you can get acquainted with the game, but sadly the in game help you receive at this stage is somewhat unrelated to your present situation.

My first problem I had was contacting other players, the second and last problem was that I had been confronted with a complex graphic panel on the bottom of the screen, which at first seemed very intimidating and sadly the only way to find out what they did was to click on them with the fear of neglecting my character.

Albite its negatives this game proves to be more involved than just wandering around and killing stuff or the first person you meet and thus makes life easy for new gamers.
