BEST FREE ONLINE GAME

I have been playing runescape for four years, and i have only recently stopped playing. It is certainly the BEST game i have ever played, and it's FREE!!!!!!! Especially if you get your mates involved in the game like I did, there are many years of fun to be had for all ages. (there are lots of kids that play rs, but also many adults too)

runescape rules ive been playing over a year and havent got bored of it just a few things for a few certain people the moron who recomended some stupid game instead of it cause the graphics were rubbish? i play planetside and still prefer runescape! and for the oher guy whos complaining about having 2 pay u moron of course or there would b no updates ud still be playing rsc and nothing would change! all in all runescape rules every1 else sucks any1 wanna look me up go ahead i rule :P username:creepybacon

I played the origonal. I have ADHD(attention defisit hyper siorder or something)so i couldn't pay attention very well. The new game RS2, have better graphics and i could play for hours. Trust me best free game i've ever played. I found it from a friend and i hope this helps you.

This game is a good game,i would have given it a %,but hte people on it are greedy and mean.And when you start theres a tutorial thats like an hour long.And when you start out you start out with barely nothing at all.How ever,its got good game play and graphics and is a pretty good game.I would say all should try it once.

It's free, so what?
There are so many other games with better gameplay and graphics than a bunch of meaningless features like this.
The graphics has improved - big deal. I've seen games with way better graphics. I'm not talking high detail here. I mean even the normal detailed .bmp images can beat the awful pictures in this.
There is no goal to this game. You just keep leveling and leveling without any end to it. You fight enemy creatures, but it makes absolutely no impact on the rest of the community. In other words, this game is loosely-based and lame. Many other games are also free but can offer gameplay much more improved than this.
If you think Runescape is good, you haven't been playing enough for very long. I suggest you "evolve" to a higher level of gameplay.

Suppose you think that having so many players means that this game is good, but I can safely say that you're absolutely mistaken. These are people who have not found a good enough game and only play Runescape to get used to the effect of MMORPGs, or they may also be those who think Runescape is good because a lot of people play it too.

I'm not advertising here, but Shattered Galaxy is somewhat better. Go try it, but be warned - it's takes quite some time to download.

I play rs myself evry day with my account named xxvagoxx and i think scamming in runescape doesnt disturb,if u just stay careful u wont get scammed.. And hackers.. Some1 here sayed he was haxed 9 times this week .. That must b bull , i dont know any1 who has been haxed on same account 2 times.. I reccomend runescape to evry1 warmly it just ownz.. You have to pay

The game is awesome with all its features and stuff but the problem is that if you dont pay you dont get A LOT of stuff. In the site there is a runescape map but without paying you can only go to like 1/4 of the map. Many times you go somewhere try to open a gate and it tells you: members only. The game is great for people who can pay but since I'm not gonna pay then I say it sucks.

If you and your friend need a graphical game to play...then this would be a good choice.
With loads of quests, tons of monsters to kill,people to meet(and kill) this is a great game. Now even more advanced graphics.

I would like to comment first on a few reviews before mine. It is a lie that those who like vulgarity, scamming, or hacking can get away on RuneScape. I've been playing the game for three and a half years; three of those years on the free server. Not once have I ever been hacked--no matter what game (or otherwise) you play that requires a password, you should take the precautions. Change your password once a month and don't make them easily-guessed. If a player needs to be reported, there's a button in the game--it sends the staff the last 30 seconds of what occured. As for cursing, RuneScape has such a high block on vulgarity it almost gets annoying. Scamming--if you're buying or selling something, ask around for the price or look in the shops.
With that said and done, I'd like to agree that RuneScape isn't perfect. There are players that are rude, annoying and that you would just like to take to the wilderness (PK-ing zone) and beat him/her senseless. There are also others that aren't and that are willing to help newbies to the game. Try and concentrate on them. Don't worry about graphics, though, since RuneScape2 has recently been released and they are much improved. Out of all the free online multiplayer games, RuneScape has always been the best for me and I have yet to tire of it. It sounds easy to get to the 'highest' combat (the highest I've seen is 115) but it is certainly not. Plus there are many skills you can raise--you can be a mage, warrior and rogue at the same time. My mind is simplistic, and this game is very easy to get the hang of. The Jagex staff is very understanding--plus, the game get's updated very often and you can suggest ideas for them to add or bugs that need reporting.
Enough of my rambling; go to the site and try it out--no e-mail required. What do you have to lose?

See the crappy graphics of the runescape screenshot shown? Its upgraded! Along with over 300000 player online! It is one of the largest online multiplayers! Best of all, its still free!

Tedious yet intriguing

Know first off that this game is not for everyone. If you enjoy mindless clicking to perform various actions, you'll like this game. The graphics have been seriously upgraded (thus, the graphic included in this directory is outdated) and everything's been basically overhauled to create a new game experience. Still, be forewarned - being the best at this game requires a lot of patience. And I do mean A LOT OF PATIENCE.

Runescape is one of the best games i've ever played! The feel of the thousands of people around me, that they to are alive and on their computers enjoying this amazing game! Though runescape is a little too easy....... Well i got to level 41 in one day! And by day 2, i could kill level 82 greater demons(I was level 101)! Though that account was banned named deathman86 i still have fun with the game

This pic is from runescape 1, or runescape classic. The new runnescape has graphics as good as The Sims (r) and its free! New skills are in it, the graphics are the best on the net! Give runescape a chance! I love it enough to wake up at 5 am!

I played this game for awhile before membership was available and awhile after that as a member. All i can say is the community or lack of, has ruined this game. If you like scamming hacking and swearing with no fear of retribution then you'll like runescrap

Hey, i am a player of runescape and have been for some time. The picture here does runescape no credit, because it is now out of date because the old graphics of runescape are bad and gone! the new ones are very good, not lifelike, but good all the same. Lots of epople on runescape do try to steal other people items, accounts, i have been scamed two times (two days in a row) and hacked once. But lots of player help and its a nice warm community. Runescape is a mix between a mystical world and a medieval one. Its very funa dn you cna pay to become a member for a week, but that is not compulsary. Runescape can go on forever because there is now no limit to how higher level you can go to. Just try the website, its not commiting you to anything is it?

To finish this off runescape is a good game, but it has its highs and its lows.

I have been playing for like 2 years now. I am a member which means I pay the game and get like all the extra quests and abilities and stuff. It is really worth it. You get like over 50 quests like 3 more abilites and way more items, weapons, armour, etc. I think the game is great and adicting. I love the new version where it is all 3d. I have made great new friends on it and hope you have as much fun as I had.

I played runescape for 2years it was the best game i have ever played i loved it got to level 89 with great stats. when i first started playing no one ever tried tos cam other ppl it was a great place to meet honest players
no one tried to steal passwords either. its not like that anymore within the last week i was hacked by 9 diferent ppl and were ever i when around runescape i saw ppl trying to rip other ppl off and trying to scam and steal passwords rs has changed 70% of all players are scamers or hackers not fun anymore so i wouldnt recomend it to anyone now but i would have a year ago.

My brother started playing RuneScape with his friends.At first I thought it was stupid looking, and boring.I started to play it myself and got hooked.(Even though it has bad graphics.)Now they have come out with a new RuneScape.You can still play the classic RuneScape, but the new one is better.Try it out! :)

This game is good. I played it once for 2 years or so. The graphics suck ass and it gets boring. But there is many skills & levels, a big map, and lots to do. I recommend it to all people. Try it out, I quit, but I had fun playing it for the time...

As many people said the game is great. but it does seme to get pretty boring. I mean if your not a member theres not much to doexept run around and kill monsters or go to the wilderness and kill players.Trust me i know a guy whos a member and he siad its great! But im not a member wich means barely half of the stuff. and they dont even try to hide what the members get. they show it to you but wont let you do it. wich is pretty anowing. but i meet my friends there and hang out. So if your looking to talk this is the game for you.

True Meaning

Firstly I'd like to say, that I am not going to sit here and tell you how great runescape is, how you should go ahead and start playing it and that it is the best game in the world.

Runescape does have it's unique charm. But, it has everything a normal MMORG has as well. The graphics are a little bit dodgy, but most people feel they can over-come that by the good game-play.

The matter of fact, after you've reached the top level runescape loses its touch. Now what is there to do? You've clocked the game and all you can do is walk around acting strong.

Now, runescape is a great way to make friends. And, it's totally 100% free.
It's a good game to play, but not hours on end. I've played for 2 years. The addiction had gotten to me, but I stopped playing a while back. To tell you the truth, runescape gets boring. You can't hide that fact.

But, it is fun. It is fun for the first few weeks, and if you're lookin for an easy game to get addicted to, and a little bit of fun - go for it!

But bear in mind there ARE other role-playing games out there. And runescape isn't exactly the top one there.

Runescape is not one of those games that u can play for a short time and then stop BUT it is a game that you most likely wont get hooked on until about a week of play time (maybe the is only true for me). I have been a user for about 2 years but the first year i only played a few weeks worth but i soon eame addicte to the game and i been playin it constantly ever since. This by far is the most addicting game on the free games market. I have recently become a member of runescape (cost 5 bucks a month and it allows u to acess the other half of the runescape world plus extra quests). Runescapes staff has just recently released the new beta of the game which upgrades in graphics, comat system and many other aspects of the older game. This version of th ame is currently only avialable to members but will son be released to free users. ...Don't Believe all thos stupid people that say they can get you anything you want its a scam. Runescape, an addiction

I have been playing Runescape for more than a year now, and I couldn't be happier. When i first started, I had no interest whatsoever in the game, only starting it up because I promised so to a friend. The first 20 min. of the game I hated it, and I don't recall why I continued after those first steps in Runescape. What I do remember is the first few days after that. I would stare in awe as I watched players pass me who couldn't have spent less than 3 years on the game, as they walked past me at levels I couldn't fathom, with equipment that cost more gp(the currency of Runescape)than I had ever seen. After a year worth of training, I have become stong enough to hold my ground, yet there are still those select few whose levels cause me great envy. Few times have I worried about the graphics, though they are severly lacking, because I know that on December 1, 2003, Jagex Limited will completly rework the game completely, updating the graphics to become much more than they are. I suggest you try out the game, give it a day or two, and, most likely, you will be hooked.

This game is by far the coolest this ever. It's a free MMORPG for hells sake. I mean how much better do u want things to be in your life. I know some people dont know what an MMORPG is or they just hate RPGs but if you are neither of the former than please try out this game. It's awsome!!!!!!

This is a cool game but the graphics suck... but that doesnt really matter because the excitement kinda doesnt make it matter. this has to be one of the best MUD's out there and it has quests money so you can buy armor and weapons etc. and a chat thing on the bottom of the screen and there is a runescape 3d but it wont let anymore members into it so you have to wait to play that and if you want some more info just contact my charachter Drak_12.

i am a big fan of runescape, its the best game ever. The whole idea is to go around killing monsters, completing (hope i spelt that right) quests, making money and using it to buy armour, weapons and other upgrades.
Runescape is a real time multiplayer game with other players over the internet, you can either choose to be a member or not, being a member will cost 5 pounds in english money, but not being a member is free, members can have extra abilities like pickpocketing and they also have extra quests and worlds. You also have a chat feature for both members and non-members and have a friends list that you can add people that can trade you good things or you just like chatting to. If you play it you will see why i rated it 5 out of 5.
Hint:if you add moneybags to your friends list he will give you money on saturdays.

I am HOOKED

A real time role playing game in which you control a character as you do things like cook food, smith equipment, catch fish, mine ores and defeat N.P.C's (non player characters) to complete quests. All of this and more on runescape, and also for FREE!
What I think: I reckon runescape is pretty cool because it's fun if you don't like thinking but the graphics are bad (but who cares?), its on the internet for free and if you want to download it you can as this speeds up the game a little.
