Moderation and Admin

Although I quite enjoy the game in itself, the moderator/admin side of things leave something to be desired when it comes to resolving game issues. From personal experience the moderators seem to be able to lock/delete accounts without taking into account responses from those that have been locked out. At present, having contacted both the game admin and all listed moderators, I have been waiting over 24 hours for my account to be unlocked, even though contact was made with the moderators/admin by the prescribed method in the game within 45 minutes of the game being locked.
Overall game good, but admin at best poor.

meh... i dont rly like this game becaus its textbased and is not one of those games where u sit and play. its just like one of those things you enjoy when you come home just like ur email

There is one mod in mwg that ruins the whole game his name is dazz he locks people for the benefit of himself and the country he is in and the admin of the website never checks in to see what he is doing or dazz is stuck up his butt one...i don't recommend this game.

Modern-War-Generals is a great game.Users be ware,this is a very addictive game. I have been playing for 3 years now and I cant get enough.Does it have problems? Yes but what game doesn't. I would like to see a spot in game where players can apply for mod positions,as some are a little bias.Over all its great fun.

Hardly worth the sign up really, you agree to rules upon sign up, even at each log in, but they dont apply, cause the Moderators make thier own up each round. No-one can define a complete and real set so far, and this leads to many people getting locked for stupid reasons.

This is blatent mod abuse, and according to the rules, will be dealt with. lmao...suuurreee by the corrupt mods that issue the stupid rules in the first place.

On a game point of view...you can't win without getting tokens, which there is a few bugs that need fixing...as some can get really cheap tokens, paying in the region of 12p...instead of the standard £1.50

It highly corrupted all over, and needs a lot doing to it to make it fair...but most of all...de-modding Dark Forest.

The game itself is great.. my favorite online game (used to be). there are too many problems with the game politics though.. Too many feeders and too many bullies. If you don't mind getting used by your country and having your tax dollars and donations going to the countries leaders and there friends.. this game is for YOU!!! otherwise find another game, or wait untill the owner decides to fix those bugs..

Moderaters SUCK

This would be the #1 online game IF the moderater situation was settled..Moderaters ALOW cheating if it benefits them (not the game)

Example:

Multi Accounts:

You are allowed 1 account on MWG but you are allowed to acess other players accoutns long as you dont attack active players (just log on to keeo it active etc)

BUT here is a example:

The country AUS on MWG was at war with Germany AND AusAus..AusAus and Germany shoot mass nuclear missiles at AUS but 1 revolution (30mintues) before the nuclear missiles hit,the strongest 4 players in AUS were locked..so the nukes didnt effect them..<< CHEATING

then I asked why thoes players where locked..the moderater said "they have multi accounts"..so the penalty for multy accoutns is all accounts to be deleted,,but like 2~3 revs after the nukes hit and the war settled down...thoes 4 players are unlocked << THATS CHEATING!!

Then Germany complains about it,we are told it was fair yet we are still angry,,,then out of no where all of our players get hit by terrorist with lower alert levels then other guys (guys like myself were losing 60,000 land with a alert level of 2...and guys with alert levels of 7~8 in other coutnerys wernt getting attacked at all) IS THAT FAIR??

[The lower the alert the less chance you have to be attacked by terrorist]

FIX THE MOD SITUATION AND WILL BE BEST GAME!!

Truly a War Game

This game may not have the flashy graphics or the visuals that other games have, but what it lacks in thsoe visual features it makes up with it's deep level of strategy.

You can learn the game in a few minutes and be able to play the game like that, but then the real difficulty kicks in, politics, negotiation, confrontation, and just trying to stay alive in a game where revenge is fast and furious.

An instant messaging account is absolutely essential for this game. AIM acn be used but MSN is preferred. A great deal of political deals such as alliances, non agression pacts, and even war plans are debated online, then carried out in the game.

While the game itself may not be as addicting as the other ones, the people you meet online, and the strategy that goes into making your country successful is a hook that will keep you playing the game long after the initial "blow stuff up mentality has gone".

Overall the game features a deep level of strategy, one that becomes ever more complicated as you rise up the ladder in importance and influence. This is not a game for people who just want to blow stuff up and be done with it, but a game for true strategists, and those who understand how war is really won or lost... not just with actions, but with words.

this game is ok awesome but then again u need to pay up for it........
you can select ur country and there are countries already in war with u who u fight against,its kinda cool...u need paypal though...hmm i do prefer runescape to it..

Unlike alot of other multiplayer games, this one is great! It's fun, enjoyable, and well worth the time spent. It in fact, is so fun it actually becomes addicting. The people there are funny, socible, and most of them are nice and worth talking to. It's also pretty realistic. You join the country of your choice, and you are a team in that country, trying to strive for #1, declaring war if nessiscarry. CCs (country commanders) who are voted by the people can organize NAPs, ceasefires and Alliances with other countries also. Although war can be a little painful, its a fun game and I would reccommend it.

pay (tokens)

A strategy game should by nature should pit
the players minds against one another.

The outcome of the game will depend on strategy,efficient use of resources,teamwork, and sometime dumb luck. >)

MWG has a high degree of all these elements
HOWEVER with the option of token purchses in this game all of the above become secondary.

An early advantage established with the use of these tokens unbalances the game to a degree the word "strategy" becomes meaning less.


This game"could" be one of the best IF
there were no token purchases allowed.

I don't about you guys but i can not stand web based multiplayer games. 3D games are much much more fun! Sure it is a little bit harder to find a good multiplayer game that is 3D, Online, Multiplayer and most of all hardest to find one that has all of those and its free. Most 3D games are not free. This game rules. It is the same as Shadowops, but is not illegal. The writer of Modern War Generals Wrote shadowops. the reason i like this better than shadow ops is because i can realate and its somthing that is easier to understand. its one of the best stratagy games i have ever played.

Iv played shadowops for a few months (shadowops.net) and this is a TOTAL RIP OFF of it.
in shadowops, there are sectors. WMG: countries
different play types are EXACTLY the same.

Its really pathetic how people cant even think of they're own games, but have to go and rip off someone else's.

Next thing you know there will be games like "age of Thology" and "world of Craft", and even, dare i say, "moonscape".

people who rip off other games, and brand them as their own, are losers in every sence of the word

like what silo and a couple of other reviewers say, this is a game is a major rip-off. they just copied everything over and brand it under another game hoping to get players in. things like this doesnt work. my advise, dont try it.

they just changed some stuff but the game play is excactly the same!!
shadowops is the original.go to it instead
and it you say that the revs are 30mins,in server2 of shadowops,1rev=20mins

it is a good game, i mean like the inter face is nice but if you have never played a game like this before then it would be a bit confuseing but it is ease once you understand how it all works and stuff. But do have to say that i like the way that the armys can work to gether if they want to do things.


BTW- and one in the area of (9:X) we ROCK!

When I first began this game it was a little difficult. In only a short time it was easily mastered. Every player, new or old, will be willing to help you out. Also, a valuable Game Help feature is built into the game, making learning all the easier.

The game itself is fun to play. You only have to log on about once or twice a day, for those of you with busy schedules. Of course you can log on a lot more if you choose.

Overall, its a great experience. I would recommend it to anyone.

This game is the bast game i've played in a long while. I think i might be hooked. but it does take a while to get going for newbs unless you know what you're doing. just a tip for upcoming players ask your sector leader and country leader for help, but be nice about it. hope you like it as much as i do.

MWG is probably one of the most fun games that you can play online for free. There are so many different options you can choose from ranging from what country to choose to what units to build. If you are a war addicted person then this is the game for you so join up.

This must be one of the best games ever. No joke. Ive met great people, tons of fun, its absolutely kickass game. You get to build all kinds of units. Only problem: The game's rounds isnt long enough! You gotta have more fun redoing it all =D

MWG is a very well made addicting text based game in which you join one of 15 countries and wage war against of alongside the other 14 while defending against terrorist attacks. There are numerous grammaticaland spelling errors throughout the game.

i love games where being a mathematician is a plus, coz this text-based game is sooo complicated (at the first sigth of course) that many people stop playing it after they register ;(

so if u want to have 1 hour / day of good play - choose it

MWG is great,
It's a text based game that all relies on the strategy use. I myselve have tried it as an attacker, and as a miner, witch both need very diffrent strategy's,
the cool thing is that you always need your country members to trade. For axample, when I was a miner, I produces gigantic amounts of metal, however, my oil income was pretty low, so I found a country member that could produce oil for me, in return for metal.
This way you al help eachother get big.
The only downside to the game is that you have to pretty active to realy be able to enjoy it
But I wold advise everybody who reads this:
atleast give it a trie, if yuo don't like it you can always quit, but I'l say this, I think the odds are very slim that you don't like it

MWG is a military rpg with great options. it can be a little hard in the beginning but there are also good guides + the forums were u can get lots of help. You start your own kingdoom in a country you get to chose yourself then you build up your army. in the beginning you are in newbie mode for 72 revoulotions witch means no one can attack u and u cant attack anyone. this is when u build a army so when the 72 revoulotions are over u can go to war. u can also do lots of more things here but i want to play more so if u want to know more you will have to play the game yourself.

I have played many browser-based games, and i can say MWG is one of the bests.

First you can choose your team[Country] so you can play with reaLife friends.

There is a tech tree so as game progress you get new units&building&missiles :D

And you can actully see admins posts in game forums. Admins are working hard.

I realyy cant think of a downside of this game, just perfect.

This is a good game, like poker you can learn it in a day but it takes a lifetime to master. Make sure you dont go inactive!

Though this game is a text based strategy, its very well put together, people of any age or gaming style can easily come together and enjoy this game, all they need to do is actually read over the rules before attempting to play.. So I'd reccomend this to anyone who can read and has the slightest bit of immagination.

If you've played Shadowops and you want to take the fight to the ground and get a little more personal, then this game is for you. Manage resources and buildings so that your military might will grow. Build bombers and blackops for a stealthy approach or amass tanks and aircraft for head on fights. Research is very important so that you may only need 1000 tanks instead of 10,000. Choose your country wisely and let loose.

Amazing Modernized Web MMORPG

This game basically has it all. I've played many other WebMMORPG's like Swirve.com's Utopia, and Earth 2505, and they dont even come close to the experience of MWG. It features extended class support, such as economist, if you wish to make money for your country, attacker, if you wish to attack, reseacher, if you wish to research, etc etc. You can pick your Country upon account creation, however your "Sector" of the country is randomized, which helps keep the game exciting, because you never know where you'll end up in that Country. Please check this game out, its one of the best on the net. Thanks
