I like to think of it as Conker's Bad Farm Day. You start out as a weak dwarf who can't move much. With 10 tree seeds a staff and a crude axe build up your skills. Plant and cut trees; whittle/construct items from the wood Selling some things to get gold for more seeds and a better axe. Plant and harvest radish crops, using poo fertilizer from the outhouse you just built! If you find a compost worm in your garden you can use that as fertilizer too! Later on, you can move past the newbie worlds and fence in a base; plant hemp and make rope and cloth. If you make it to the top ten, you can get a nifty statue of yourself for birds to poo on (much better than ordinary dwarvish poo!). When you decide you like it here, there is a way to get a great staff that makes travelling much easier!
